3 opening brackets and 2 closing brackets for NSMutableDictionary without using literal syntax?

At about 1 minute into the video you'll see an example for NSMutableDictionary. There are 3 opening brackets and 2 closing brackets. Is this a typo?

I need help with the assignment after this video i can not get passed the 1st step
