Python

A shopping cart with Django

For my practice exams I have to build a order system for a fictional restaurant. The idea is to have a tablet on each table in the restaurant where clients can order their food trough software.

I am building this project using Django. I know I need a "Menu Item" model and an "Order" model. I also need something like a shopping cart. Any idea what the best approach would be for this. The best way to let clients add menu items to their order? I am kinda stuck with this. Any suggestion or help is welcome.

Thank you!
