Acron or Pixelmtor which works better with .PSD files? Has anyone tried both as a Photoshop replacement?

I'm thinking to getting away from Photoshop and switching any other faster and low cost alternative. But I will still need to work with .PSD files.

I would suggest to stay with Photoshop if you really need to work with .PSD files. Too often I get problems with Pixelmator.
