HTML HTML Lists HTML Lists

Add a nested ordered list to the "Shapes" list item.

Hey everyone,

So I'm doing the nested part of the code challenge, but I'm having a problem getting the task evaluator to accept my code.

This is my current code:

<!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <title>HTML Lists Challenge</title> </head> <body>

<h1>HTML Lists Challenge</h1>

<!-- Write your code below -->
    <ol>
  <li>Stop</li>
  <li>Drop</li>
  <li>Roll</li>
</ol>

<ul>
  <li>Shapes</li>
    <ol>
      <li>Circle</li>
      <li>Square</li>
      <li>Triangle</li>
    </ol>
  <li>Colors</li>
</ul>

</body> </html>

As you can see, I nested the ordered list within the "Shapes" list item (and when I preview it, it appears to be nested as well!), however, whenever I click "check work" it says that I'm wrong.

Any suggestions?

Hi Yuri- They want the ordered list to be inside the actual Shapes list item. So it has to look like this:

<!DOCTYPE html> HTML Lists Challenge

<h1>HTML Lists Challenge</h1>

<!-- Write your code below -->
    <ol>
  <li>Stop</li>
  <li>Drop</li>
  <li>Roll</li>
</ol>

<ul>
  <li>Shapes<ol>
      <li>Circle</li>
      <li>Square</li>
      <li>Triangle</li>
    </ol></li>
  <li>Colors</li>
</ul>

You need to add the ordered list before the closing list tag for shapes.

<ul>
  <li>Shapes
    <ol></ol>
  </li>
  <li>Colors</li>
</ul>

Ahh! Thank you so much, Denisse!

You're welcome!! :)
