1,959 PointsAdded 30-Second Rewind Button to the Video Player
Hi Everyone,
Just a quick update to let you know that we added a new icon to the video player that will allow you to rewind any tutorial video that you're watching by 30 seconds. This is especially helpful on longer videos where it's more difficult to jump backwards in time by using the timeline / video scrubber.
Check it out on the next video you watch, and feel free to let us know if you have any additional thoughts or feedback.
Thanks!
Ryan Wilke
1,959 Pointsyarontamuz That wasn't intentional. We'll have a look at that shortly. I can file a bug report for it.

1,959 PointsAfter a little research into this issue, it appears that it's a known bug with the video player library that we're using. Hopefully we won't have to wait long for it to be fixed! I filed a bug report with them to let them know about the issue.
Thanks for letting us know about it yarontamuz

1,959 Pointsyarontamuz Just a little follow-up on this, the library we're using for the video player hasn't fixed the issue, but we should have a solution now for the issue that was causing the videos to restart when you hit the spacebar. Let me know if you're seeing otherwise.

10,359 PointsCool. This will be awesome for those moments when I am so focused on understanding what I'm coding that I forget to listen to whatever it is the teacher is saying (or stop the video, of course).

10,359 PointsJust used it six or seven times (sorry Guil ... multitasking z'all). This is SUPER useful. Good icon (i.e. I know what it is for), and seamless integration to everything else (as always).

13,395 PointsExcellent, after seeing the use of this button -- the ten second version -- on Hulu, I can't seem to understand why all video players don't offer this. It's definitely essential for movie viewing, but so much more crucial to educational videos. Great add-on!

1,959 PointsThanks for the feedback, everyone! After a little of feedback, we've also decided to update the button to 10 seconds instead of 30 seconds. If you'd like to jump back 30 seconds, just click the icon 3 times :)
Hope this makes everyone's experience even better!

Courses Plus Student 6,345 PointsHi guys! Any chance we can get a Mac shortcut for that button. I love not having to take my hand off the keyboard when tabbing between apps!

1,889 PointsWhy did you decide to restart the video after double tap the space bar? It's very annoying...
