Android Studio (JDK)

at the activity fun facts main xml, the device emulator doesn't show, but shows the below.

"Rendering Problems Android N requires the IDE to be running with Java 1.8 or later Install a supported JDK"

I installed the latest JDK as instructed but to no avail. Please i need help with this.

I'm having the same problem. But for me it only shows API 24 to select from. What else could I do? Thanks

What Kevin Faust posted is correct. I had the same problem and switching to API 23 fixed the issue.
