Android Track - Emulator & Genymotion Issues

Hi, I've started the Android Track, run the installation of Android Studio OK, but the emulator was loading for over 45 mins, I just had to pull the plug in the end. So I downloaded Genymotion and started working through that, but the emulator for that reports that my graphics card "may not" support OpenGL and to update drivers. I ran an update through Windows and they are up to date. Is my poor old Vista machine just too damn ancient for this!!??

Anyone have any suggestions on how I could proceed with either emulator?

Edit - Even worse, I thought I'd go back and try the Android Studio Emulator, now that just crashes saying: emulator.arm.exe has stopped working.... getting nowhere fast here...

Edit #2 - Well I've managed to get the Android Studio Emulator to at least start without crashing, reduced the size of the RAM in the device manager thingy.... just sitting here watching it start now.. 10 mins and counting
