CSS How to Make a Website Customizing Colors and Fonts Use Classes in CSS

[ANSWERED] I have the exact same code, but it doesn't work. Even when I hover or click, the link color stays the same.

I've been following along with the videos, and I am pretty sure I have the exact same code. However, when I open the preview, the functions I've added don't work at all. For instance, the color of the links don't change when I hover over them.

Hi Jeff!

Please could you post your code for me to take a look at? I won't be able to help you resolve your problem if I can't see your code!

Hey, thanks for the response.

The code is the exact same as the video.

For some reason, when I copied over everything into a new workspace, it worked. But in the original workspace, it didn't work.

I have the same problem... Plus I cannot add a question... It says : this requires at least one letter or number ( please, can somebody explain it to me, sorry, I am a newbie ;) )

<li><a href="index.html"> class="selected">Portfolio</a></li>

this is the code that I typed.

instead of applying the code in the web browser when I refresh it, it shows the code ( typed )

please, can you help me?
