Any design ideas for my site?

Hey guys, I'd love some feedback on my new site design. Does it need more gradient, more/less color, animation, etc?

Thanks!

Looks great as is. Viewing it on mobile and the layout is really good. Great looking menu icons.

Hi Keith, I am not a professional designer but this is my perception about the look and feel of your website:

Home Page: It looks more some sort of resume - I do not understand if you want to work with companies as a collaborator or you are looking for a job. You may need a copywriter if you want to take it to a more professional level. Designers and Developers have a more relaxed dress code - You should probably change that image with people in the background.

Portfolio: You need to show your skills here and you can possibly develop a few websites on several business fields. If I am a company looking for a developer or designer I want to see what your area of expertise is. You have to talk with clients sooner or later - they want to be sure you understand what you need to deliver for their business.

Design: Good use of large icons but do not go overboard with border radius.

I suggest you watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zzlEYrj-zw

Giuseppe, thanks for the video links. I've watched the first one and they made some really good points (I need consistent spacing).

I should definitely be more clear about the purpose. Thanks!

Alright,

I've made some changes and used some of the principles from that first video.

I changed the headings, paragraphs and layout to be more consistent throughout the site (as much as possible). I also removed the shadow effects and background image.

It definitely feels like a tighter design. Please let me know what you think!
