Anyone experienced with magento?

Hello

I am looking to open an ecommerce store using magento and ideally install a theme from themeforrest.net, I have only completed the make your website section on treehouse and found it very enjoyable and know basic html and css.

Does anyone know of any magento guides on how to get started and learn the process of uploading and editing a theme?
