Appearance Proxy...

Task 3 of "Styling the Navigation Bar" in "Customizing Table View Controllers"

Now we want to change the color of the text of our navigation bar buttons to white. Use the appearance proxy to change the color using [UIColor whiteColor].

Not really sure what the "compiler" is complaining about. I am changing color on UIBarButtonItem , complier throws an error... I tried UINavigationController and compiler throws an error...Not really sure what is it expecting.

[[UIBarButtonItem appearance] setTitleTextAttributes:@{NSForegroundColorAttributeName: [UIColor whiteColor]}
                                            forState:UIControlStateNormal];

have you tried using UINavigationBar and setting the tintColor?

[[UINavigationBar appearance] setTintColor:[UIColor whiteColor]];
