Arrays

hi guys, I am stuck on this problem right now. Can anyone help ?:) I left commented out a different option I tried (which also didn't work)

Thanks so much!

arrays.swift
// Enter your code below
var arrayOfInts: [Int] = [1,2,3,4,5,6]
arrayOfInts.append(7)
arrayOfInts = arrayOfInts + [8]
let fifthItem = arrayOfInts[4]
let value = fifthItem
arrayOfInts.removeAtIndex(5)
let discardedValue = arrayOfInts
//let discardedValue = arrayOfInts[0,1,2,3,4,6]

You are very close. For the fifth item try:

let value = arrayOfInts[4]

since the instruction is asking for a constant named value. And for the last task just assign the value of arrayOfInts.removeAtIndex(5) to discardedValue:

// Enter your code below
var arrayOfInts: [Int] = [1,2,3,4,5,6]
arrayOfInts.append(7)
arrayOfInts = arrayOfInts + [8]
let value = arrayOfInts[4]
let discardedValue = arrayOfInts.removeAtIndex(5)
