Asuming?!

Hey! İm new in this site and just finished digital literacy courses. Then the site suggested me to take this track. After 10 mins of watching i came to this part and this course want me to pay for a domain which is kind of understandable. But wondering how can you assume i know ftp "after all this". Wondering if its worth to watch it or not now. İf any of you finished it before can you please tell me if there will be any more "assumings" after this and do I have to pay for any other services?

I'm in the same boat. It would be helpful if Treehouse provided more resources regarding ftp software and the control panel.

You don't even have to buy a domain or hosting, you can go through the entire wordpress courses by just using wordpress installed locally on your computer, and using software like apache to create the http server that will parse the php, and mysql for the database.

I don't know about the assuming part, it's been forever since I've taken these courses. There might be other assumptions made, just ask if needed.

Thanks for your quick answer. İ'm following the tracks that site offers me so I'm sure i didn't pass something out. But guess there will be some extras i need to check by my self during the way. I'll ask if any question pops up on.

No problem, I've just never followed the recommended order of the tracks to be honest, but I have noticed that sometimes they do reference previous tracks videos (although not often) and I can see how that can easily create confusion.
