Babel vs Polyfilling

Hiya beautiful people! JavaScript keeping evolving for past few couple of years and it feels like its gonna happen in every year now. So far i've been using tools like Babel , yarn/npm, webpack, ESLint, Gulp/Grunt etc. just to get my project up and running. But sometimes its not enough coz turns out these tools combining arent compatible with everything in the JavaScript universe. So my question is when should i use Polyfill + Babel or only Babel or only polyfill? Any insight would be really helpful. Thank You!
