Basic JS does not output anything when previewed.

I put this in scripts.js file

alert("hello"); document.write("<h1>Welcome to JavaScript<h1>"); alert("Thanks for visiting.");

what is the issue you are having? are you not receiving an alert button, and nothing is being written on the viewport? the code you wrote looks fine, so I don't know what your issue is. can you clarify, please. Thanks

Try this, your DOM probably isn't ready

$( document ).ready(function() { alert("hello"); document.write("Welcome to JavaScript"); alert("Thanks for visiting."); });
