Python Python Basics (2015) Logic in Python Try and Except

been stuck on this for a while cant figure it out

    try:
first_num= float(always)
second_num=float(win)

    else:
        return(first_num + second_num)

HI, was having same problem but I finally solved it

def add(a,b):
    try:
        int(float(a)+float(b))
    except ValueError:
        return(None)
    else:
        return(float(a)+float(b))

ok thank you this worked i believe what i did wrong was i needed an extra indentation after try ,except and else i had the indentation in the blocks but all lined up.
