Bezier Handles Not Appearing?

I have been following these tutorials with success so far. But Whenever I try to adjust any points, I am un-able to directly play around with the handles.

For example, on the path, I would create a node, and I will be able to move the node up and down (thus changing the object), but I cannot seem to actually control the handles!

Also, in the tutorial, he uses the Direct Selection Tool, and holds 'alt' to change the object, but this doesn't seem to work for me?

Please tell me what I am doing wrong!

Happened to me as well... try Ctrl-H (Cmd-H on Mac) and they should appear.

Tony,

The handles are only visible if the point is a curve. Assuming that your using the pen tool, the curve point is created by clicking and dragging. If you simply click, then the point is a corner point and it will not have the handles.

Hope that helps!
