Build a Simple Dynamic Site with Node on my local.

Anybody tried running the node course in their local setup? How do you go about it?

I have tried downloading all the file on that course then run on my local using

node app.js

but it doesn't do anything. how do I use that port 3000 they're using?

Thanks!
