Building a website using a framework
Is building a website using a Framework such as bootstrap and using templates is considered as a less knowledgeable designer.
David Wierzbicki14,235 Points
A knowledgeable designer makes the best use of their tools. And one of a designer's tools is the design community and the best practices being shared by that community.
There is absolutely no shame in beginning with a framework like bootstrap or foundation. These are well-vetted and community supported projects and are intended to be a starting point for professionals.
Also, deconstructing these frameworks - pulling them apart and putting them together in new ways - is a great way to reinforce solid design techniques and practices. Fork them, play with them, and share your results with the community!

Of course not! Using frameworks to make your life easier and your work more efficient makes you a better web designer. That's why millions of people use them.
Some of the best websites are built using frameworks. Many large companies out there today use bootstrap for example, the key is learning how to make these frameworks work best to fit the type of site that you need to design! They also can help expedite the process ;)
