Just

greeting("Tom")

will do, no need for other extra stuffs.

Your answer has several issues. When calling a function, there is no need to include the parameter name nor any assignment operations when passing a value. Also, your use of '[]' has no logical purpose because there is no array or dictionary collection type anywhere in this example.

func greeting(person: String) {
    println("Hello \(person)")
}
greeting("Tom")
