calling a function and return

I dont really understand, the question is as follows

Call the getYear function: store the returned value of the function in a new variable named yearToday.

function getYear(){ var year = new Date().getFullYear(); return year; } getYear (); var yearToday = return getYear();

Hi Kris,

function getYear() {
  var year = new Date().getFullYear();
  return year;
}

var yearToday = getYear();  // you already created the function and returned its value inside it.
