Can anybody provide me with some more resources for adding links to a webpage, I want to better understand the concepts.

Specifically, I aim to be able to link HTML to other HTML pages and images fluently?

By far, the most common way to add links to a page is with the anchor (a) element, and the URL of the linked resource is provided in the HREF attribute. For example:

<ul>
    <li><a href="http://google.com">Take me to Google!</a></li>
    <li><a href="http://teamtreehouse.com">Take me to Treehouse!</a></li>
</ul>

When displayed, it will render like this on the page:
