there are a lot of helpful tools to help you make an android app like ionic framework, cordova and other tools but you will need a little knowledge of css and html.
but of course there is the native android apps that built with Java not JavaScript
so you have two choice either JavaScript or native java but you should keep in mind that native apps would have a better performance with bigger apps but a lot of company ask for hybrid apps to work on both android and IOS which made with ionic framework and other tools as I mentioned
if you need more information about this topic just ask

Courses Plus Student 9,255 PointsJavaScript is easy to learn but what is your passion ? do you want to make android app or to build website? if your passion towards android app then I think you should switch to java and android studio to build native android app but if you want to be more general then a JavaScript is a good way to start
