Can I go through the Photoshop Deep Dive using Gimp?

Likewise, can I use Inkscape for the Illustrator Deep Dive?

Also, should I use Gimp or Gimpshop?

Honestly, It's going to be a bit difficult. If you use GIMP to follow the photoshop tutorial, you'll have to look for similar tools inside GIMP without being sure to find them.

Same with inkscape. I've used all of them and from my little experience, I know I can do many things I do under photoshop using GIMP as exemple, but often I have to do more manipulation to achieve the same result in GIMP... Find tricks and etc.

However, GIMP & Inkscape are good tools.
