Can I make multiple websites?

I'm learning wordpress, and I watched this course, but with the steps taken here can I only work on the one website I have, or can I make multiple websites? If so, how?

You can only work with one website per WordPress installation. But you can have many WordPress installations.

I have a fair number of WordPress sites on the go with my localhost server. I simply make a new folder for each and put them in there.

Each WordPress installation takes up one mySQL database. Depending on your hosting package you can have as many as 1 or 5 or 20 databases. As many as your hosting package allows. :-)
