iOS Swift Functions and Optionals Functions Syntax and Parameters

can somebody please tell me what I'm supposed to do here?

i don't understand, please help me

func greeting(person: String) {
    println("Hello")

For the first challenge your code is correct. A parameter is a value passed by a function & they wanted it to be type string, which you did.

Hi Jurgen,

If it is the second challenge then you need to add the persons name to the println statement using string interpolation.

func greeting(person: String) {
    println("Hello \(person)")
}

Hope that makes sense.
