JavaScript JavaScript Basics (Retired) Creating Reusable Code with Functions Create a max() Function

Can someone help me out with this javascript challenge??

This is the challenge title: "Create a new function named max which accepts two numbers as arguments (you can name the arguments, whatever you would like). The function should return the larger of the two numbers.

HINT: You'll need to use a conditional statement to test the 2 parameters to see which is the larger of the two."

script.js
function max( Number1, Number2);
if( Number1 > Number2) {
    return Number1
}
max();

You're getting close, but:

  • the "function" line should not have a semicolon
  • there should be a pair of braces {} enclosing the body of the function
  • you'll need another "return" after the "if" to send back the other value.

And for this task, you only need to define the function, you don't need to call it. And when you do call it, be sure to give it two arguments (numbers) to compare.
