Cannot answer quiz question

I tried to delete but it keeps saying whether i am using del. Can someone help messy = [5, 2, 8, 1, 3] del messy [2]

messy = [5, 2, 8, 1, 3]
del messy [2]

Hi there,

You're close. You cannot, however, have a space separating the name and the square brackets.

del messy [2] # Incorrect
del messy[2] # Correct
