Hi Ali

I think you might be making the mistake of adding the view.backgroundColor before the viewDidLoad method. But you didn't include your code, so just guessing :)

Here is the correct answer - with the backgroundcolor after the viewdidload method:

class ViewController: UIViewController {

      let blueColor = UIColor.blueColor()

    override func viewDidLoad() {
        // Do any additional setup after loading the view, typically from a nib.

        view.backgroundColor = blueColor
    }

    override func didReceiveMemoryWarning() {
        // Dispose of any resources that can be recreated
    }
}
