Cant drag image files

I unzipped the image files and dropped them into my workspace. As I followed the tutorial and created a folder named img I proceeded to drag the .jpg files into the folder but realized i coudln't. I'm wondering why i cant drag the image files into the img folder or any other folder i create?

Thanks for the response Megan. I'm at work now and tried the drag and drop here on my work computer with the same issue. Not sure why, but still not able to organize folders. I've just had to use the directories for the files where they originally uploaded to, the root folder. I thought i wouldn't be able to advance in the lesson but this work-around seems to get me by. Just hope i dont have the same issue in the next lesson.

I haven't used the workspaces platform in a while, I use atom now for my projects, but I think I'm remembering that you may need to right click (or control click on a Mac) on the file to move it. Try that.

Thanks for all your attention Megan, I'll have to try Atom. For now it looks like i'll have to upload directly into the folder so that i can eliminate the need to drag and drop files into other folders. I had the same issue in Edge and Firefox

Turns out I cant upload to a specific folder either. It has to upload to the root folder only. This issue hasn't stopped me from progressing but i would like to get it fixed so that I can experience treehouse to its full effect before i decide to start paying for it.

I had the same issue. I am using Chrome. Before dragging from your desktop, make sure the arrow is pointing down next to the img folder. Then when you drop the files, they will drop straight into the folder without having to drag.

This seems like a viable solutions, thank you. I thought it was a Chrome issue but i tried to drag and drop using Edge and still a no go.

Same happened to me just now, it's impossible. Finally, I right clicked the folder and uploaded the pictures from there, that works on Chrome ( I first tried that in Mozilla Firefox and didn't work either).
