iOS Swift Functions and Optionals Parameters and Tuples Tuples

Can't figure out How to write a Tuple as return value.

I am getting error in this code. How can I get a tuple of var language and greeting as a return value?

tuples.swift
func greeting(person: String) -> (String, String) {
    let language = "English"
    let greeting = ("Hello \(person)", language)

    return greeting
}

1 Answer

If you look at the return of the function (greeting: String, language: String).

  • Note you have to explicitly write the a name for the tuple to pass the challenge
// When you **return** use the same format
return (language, greeting)
