    output = 'There are ' + len(all_articles) + ' articles.'
    return HttpResponse(output)
articles/views.py
from django.http import HttpResponse
from .models import Article

# Write your views here
def article_list(request):
    all_articles = Article.objects.all()

You're really close, you just need to convert the length into a string when you concatenate the other strings:

    output = 'There are ' + str(len(all_articles)) + ' articles.'
