Can't Get Test Email To Work

I've tried everything I've been able to read and find on how to set up and SMTP outgoing mail. I used my gmail account and even searched to make sure nothing that Zac was showing had changed. I changed my security to allow less secure email clients, etc. Nothing has worked. I still cannot get it to send and email.

This is the info I put in (along withy my email account and password) Server: smtp.gmail.com Encryption/Authentication: SSL Port: 465

I am working locally using Local by Flywheel.

Any suggestions on what to do to get this working?

Honestly,

You would be better asking on the forums for Local by Flywheel. In the 2 yrs on here you are the only person I have seen using that and its the first I have heard of it.

Thanks Mark. I'll do that. It's a fantastic tool. I just don't know if it could be interfering with the plugin. You might want to check it out. It makes local development a breeze, and until now no bugs and not even sure this is a problem with their app. Just do a search for Local by Flywheel. It is all set up to work "out of the box" with WP. About all you have to do is name your development site and put in your admin and password and it does the rest. Learned about it at a recent bootcamp I attended. I'm using Visual Studio Code with it and so far no problems.

Thanks, I actually use Desktop Server and Vagrant for WordPress. Desktop Server and it seem extremely similar though they have some additional plugins for Desktop Server for mail and it works on Windows/Mac by default without additional work.
