Can't install plugins locally

I installed Wordpress on my local server with success and logged in to the admin. But I can't install plugins. It gives me this error (with login screen): "Failed to connect to FTP Server localhost:21" I also tried my direct local server address 192.168.2.9 with no luck. The Wordpress site is on my Sites directory.

Apache and MySQL is installed with this guide: http://coolestguidesontheplanet.com/install-configure-apache-mysql-php-phpmyadmin-osx-10-8-mountain-lion/

Can anyone help me with this? Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Hi, if you are developing your Worpress site locally, in order to install a plugin the only thing you have to do is to extract the plugin zip file under the Sites/wp-content/plugins folder. Then go to the Plugins section and activate the plugin.

Thanks Juan, I guess I can just install the plugins manually.
