i've installed and uninstalled and extracted the damn dev files for an hour now....
cmd prompt says:
'ruby' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
WHAT?!??!?!?!?!?!?!!?!

Courses Plus Student 44,108 PointsIt might help if you'd share what OS you're on (Windows, I'm guessing by the look of the output), and what version of Ruby you're trying to install.
Although, it seems like Ruby isn't being added to your PATH. Find the directory where Ruby was installed and add it to your PATH.
If that doesn't help, please reply with more info: specific OS/Ruby versions, what tutorial you've been following, etc.

i downloaded rubyinstall 2.0.0-p451 and the devkit to go with it....
