Can't pass "Line endings"/mapping.py task - all seems to be OK in PyCharm. But gettin "Didn't get the right output".

Python Collections // Dungeon game // mapping.py

Could smbd, pls, glance on my code and/or say WHAT does TH wants from?

Here is task description:

Challenge Task 1 of 1 OK, here's a...weird...set of tiles. I need you to loop through TILES and print out each item. Print each item on the same line unless the item is a double pipe (||). In that case, print a new line (\n). Use the end argument to print() to control whether things print on a new line or not.

mapping.py
TILES = ('-', ' ', '-', ' ', '-', '||',
         '_', '|', '_', '|', '_', '|', '||',
         '&', ' ', '_', ' ', '||',
         ' ', ' ', ' ', '^', ' ', '||'
)
for item in TILES:
    if item != '||':
        endline = ""
        print(item, end=endline)
    else:
        endline = "\n"
        print(item, end=endline)

Hi mykolash,

In your else block, instead of printing the double pipes "||", print a newline character instead.

The challenge is expecting a blank line between each line of output. So whenever you encounter a double pipe, you need to effectively print 2 newline characters.
