Can't print "|" on the console. On my keyboard the combination for this is alt+7. But it doesn't get printed on console

I'm using German keyboard on a Mac computer.

I'm seeing two methods to write the pipe symbol that may work for you, try

ctrl + left-alt + ^ and right-alt + ^

Im on a Mac and using Swedish keyboard. Solved it by switching to american keyboard and finding the symbols in the built in Keyboard Viewer

I am having the same problem in a Spanish keyboard. those 2 options you recommended, don't work for me. I usually do "|" by pressing right alt + 1, but it doesn't work in the console :C
