when I got to apply the patch and then hit enter, there is a blinking cursor for me to type in the password but I cant type anything

"There is no indication shown otherwise, but as you type, your input is recorded and hidden for privacy purposes. I was able to replicate this and it worked- I suggest relaunching your console and when you are prompted for the password, please enter "mike the frog" and hit enter. You should then progress beyond the prompt.
