Can't type in console

I've loaded the intro to java workspace but the console is blank and it won't let me select it as type-space. The preset code all seems to be in place. Could my browser block the function?

Hi, Adam Twillie! I've run into this myself every great once in a while. Try choosing View -> Hide console, and then choose View->Show console. That resets the console when it hangs up for me.

Thank you for the advice, I had done that. I've got it now. I think the problem was a content blocker.
