cd treehouse error

I downloaded the treehouse vm to my Mac but I don't have a home directory to save it to, my laptop is a work laptop so I saved it to downloads, how to I retrieve the file in the terminal? When I try cd treehouse, it says that no files exists and I'm assuming that it's because I didn't save it to the home directory.

you would need to cd to the treehouse folder within the downloads directory

cd /Users/yourusername/Downloads/treehouse
