Not sure how to solve for this challenge...
# The dictionary will be something like:
# {'Jason Seifer': ['Ruby Foundations', 'Ruby on Rails Forms', 'Technology Foundations'],
# 'Kenneth Love': ['Python Basics', 'Python Collections']}
#
# Often, it's a good idea to hold onto a max_count variable.
# Update it when you find a teacher with more classes than
# the current count. Better hold onto the teacher name somewhere
# too!
#
# Your code goes below here.
def most_classes(dicts):
max_count = {'name':'teacher','class':0}
for teacher in dicts:
value = len(dicts[teacher])
if value > max_count['class']:
max_count = {'name':teacher,'class':value}
return max_count['name']
def num_teachers(dicts):
return len(dicts)
def stats(dicts):
teacher_list = []
for teacher in dicts:
teacher_list.append([teacher, len(dicts[teacher])])
return teacher_list
def courses(dicts):
course_list = []
for course in dicts.values():
course_list.extend(len(dicts[course]))
return course_list

Treehouse Moderator 68,454 PointsYour code is very close. Nice use of dicts.values()
. Since the for-loop course
has the current value of the teacher's courses, it can be used directly:
def courses(dicts):
course_list = []
for course in dicts.values():
course_list.extend(course) # <__ extend using the list in course
return course_list
