Challenge Task 2of2 HTML

So I am adding anchors to my list and I have rechecked the code 3 times, even when previewing, I can see the results as well as the links working. However, line 2 of pies in the list keep saying I need to add <a>, in which I did.

Can someone point out where I went wrong? Thanks

index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <title>Lists and Links</title>
  </head>
  <body>

  <ul>
    <a href="cakes.html"><li>Cakes</li></a>
    <a href="pies.html"><li>Pies</li></a>
    <a href="candy.htm"><li>Candy</li></a>
    </ul>

  </body>
</html>

Well your second example you just gave us you have "href" spelled "herf" so that could be it.

Tried it didn't work, however now it saying add element<a> to cakes.html
<ul> <li><a herf="cakes.html">Cakes</a></li> <li><a herf="pies.html">Pies</a></li> <li><a herf="candy.html">Candy</a></li> </ul>

Not sure whats up or maybe I am doing code wrong.
