4,373 PointsChallenge Task #5, please help!
I can't pass the last challenge problem. It says to create a getInfo function with no parameters and return a string. Can someone tell me where I am wrong? I kept getting errors in it and couldn't figure out the problem. Thank you.
<?php
class Fish {
public $common_name;
public $flavor;
public $record_weight;
function __construct($name, $flavor, $record) {
$this-> common_name = $name;
$this -> flavor = $flavor;
$this -> record_weight = $record;
function getInfo() {
return "A ". $this-> name." is an ". $this-> flavor." flavored fish. The world record weight is ".
$this-> record." . ";
}
}
$bass = new Fish("Largemouth Bass", "Excellent", "22 pounds 5 ounces");
?>

27,419 PointsThere are a few things out of place in your code:
You didn't close the curly bracket for your constructor
Inside your return string you are using 'name' instead of 'common_name'
Also using 'record' instead of 'record_weight'
Final thing and this may or may not cause an error is that the full-stop at the end has spaces around it.
<?php
class Fish {
public $common_name;
public $flavor;
public $record_weight;
function __construct($name, $flavor, $record) {
$this->common_name = $name;
$this->flavor = $flavor;
$this->record_weight = $record;
}
public function getInfo() {
return "A ". $this->common_name ." is an ". $this->flavor ." flavored fish. The world record weight is ".
$this->record_weight .".";
}
}
$bass = new Fish("Largemouth Bass", "Excellent", "22 pounds 5 ounces");
echo $bass->getInfo();
?>
