change the color of the h1 when i have nothing written on the css yet

i would like to get some help from you guys :)

Your stylesheet is invalid. The first character you have is a closing bracket. Furthermore these tasks should be completed doing only what is told. You should not create a new class on the element to target it with, but use the h1 selector instead.
