clear console

Hi,

working on a java project and I've had some problems clearing the console on windows, but I came up with a solution, but I'm not sure if this would work on mac/linux?

public void clearConsole() throws IOException, InterruptedException {
    final String os = System.getProperty("os.name");

    if (os.contains("Windows")) {
        // Runtime.getRuntime().exec("cls"); does not work on windows
        new ProcessBuilder("cmd", "/c", "cls").inheritIO().start().waitFor();
    } else {
        Runtime.getRuntime().exec("clear");
    }
}
