Code Challenge

I'm stuck on a code challenge that asks me to link each of the three list items. Portfolio should go "index.html," About should go to "about.html," and Contact should go to "contact.html." How do I link each of my three list items?

The code you wrote is correct except that you need to remove the last three list items that have no links.

remove these lines because they will just ruin your nav and add extra lines:

<li>Portfolio</li>
<li>About</li>
<li>Contact</li>

because the first three lines are enough:

<li><a href="index.html">Portfolio</a></li>
<li><a href="about.html">About</a></li>
<li><a href="contact.html">Contact</a></li>

Jason, you have all the pieces. It's just that you need to have only 3 list items, not 6, and the 3 need to be links:

        <nav>
          <ul>
            <li><a href="index.html">Portfolio</a></li>
            <li><a href="about.html">About</a></li>
            <li><a href="contact.html">Contact</a></li>
          </ul>

Note for students: Be sure to put in new code after entire a href code. Not just the first line. So, after the closing </a>
