iOS Object-Oriented Swift 2.0 Complex Data Structures Adding Instance Methods

Code Challenge

My code doesn't seem to be working. Can someone show me what i am doing wrong

structs.swift
struct Person {
    let firstName: String
    let lastName: String
}
func getFullName() -> String {
 return "\(firstName) \(lastName)"
}

1 Answer

You are declaring your method outside of the struct so it has no access to the firstName and lastName variables.

Your code should look something like this:

struct Person {
    let firstName: String
    let lastName: String

    func getFullName() -> String {
        return "\(firstName) \(lastName)"
    }
}
