Code Challenge: Creating a Custom Class

Switch to the implementation file and implement a 'quotes' method which will allocate and initialize the _quotes instance variable only if it is 'nil'. Initialize the array with any three strings.

-(NSArray *) quotes { if (_quotes == nil){ _quotes = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects: @"It is Certain", @"It is Decidedly so", @"Unable to answer now", nil]; } return _quotes;

I get an error. What have i done wrong?

Hi Jesse,

there ist just a "}" missing after "return _quotes;"

#import "Quote.h"
@implementation Quote

- (NSArray *) quotes {
    if (_quotes == nil) {
    _quotes = [[NSArray alloc] initWithObjects:@"one", @"two", @"three", nil];
  }
 return _quotes;
}

- (NSString *) randomQuote {
    return @"Some Quote";
}

@end

There's a great video on the right "Tips for asking questions" that might help you with posting your code on the forum.

Thanks for that Holger
