Code Challenge Help

I'm having trouble with this code challenge.

What's wrong with the code I entered? How can I fix this?

operators2.swift
// Enter your code below

var initialScore = 8
initialScore = ++initialScore
let totalScore = initialScore

Hi Neiv,

You just have an extra line of code that you don't need. The first part of the challenge wants you to assign the incremented value to the new variable, which you technically did, but it should be done in the same line of code.

var initialScore = 8
let totalScore = ++initialScore

Make sense? :)

:dizzy:

Thank you. That definitely makes sense!
