Code isn't working.

I am on the first objective on the third step and was wondering why my code doesn't work. It asks to create a variable that is every third item and backwards.

lists.py
messy_list = [5, 2, 1, 3, 4, 7, 8, 0, 9, -1]

# Your code goes below here

clean_list = messy_list[:]
clean_list.sort()
silly_list[::-3]

You almost have it. The instructions are asking for a new variable called "silly_list" that has every third item from "messy_list" : Now, create a variable named silly_list that is every third item, backwards, from messy_list. For example, the first two items in silly_list should be [-1, 8].

instead of silly_list[::-3] it should be silly_list = messy_list[::-3]
